Sunday 6 Sep 2020 - The
bells of St Peters Stoke Fleming rang out (properly, not just chiming) for the first time since lockdown. Four bells only, socially distanced ringing on 2,4, 6, and 8. And we welcomed a new
ringer, who has recently moved into the village.
Sunday 9 Aug 2020 - Stoke Fleming church-goers were summoned
to the service by the ringing of the bells on the Ellacombe chimes. These comprise hammers on the bells operated by ropes extending down the tower to the ground floor, where they can be rung by
one person. This is the first time the full set has been used to ring for a service since their renovation in 2016.
